Hi I’m Ailsa

I’m a mum of two gorgeous grown children, a wife, a business woman and I’ve been on my turbulent peri menopause journey for the past 9 years!

Fitness, wellness, movement and nutrition are my passion. I have been in health and wellness for over 30 years and teach Pilates and body conditioning, creating an on-line App and programs to help my clients stay well and healthy whilst navigating a sometimes difficult time.

My peri menopause started when I was around 44 and now at 53 I still have a cycle and continue in peri menopase 9 years on! When I started going through major symptoms of acne, anxiety, bloating, digestive issues, hot flashes and major mood swings there was very little out there to support me and I had very little help from my GP. I started to learn, train and create a program to help and support myself and then started to share it with my clients with fantastic results.

I set up Menopause Collective to help support women going through all stages of menopause. I am dedicated to helping you feel better both mentally and physically.

I created my successful 21 Day Program to help kickstart healthy habits that support and balance hormones and help ease many of the 45 + menopause symptoms women can experience, so that you can start to feel more like your old self again. We have had many women go through this program who have had incredible successes (read the testimonials on our 21 Day Program page)

I wrote my book Don’t Sweat It! Manage Your Menopause In 21 Days which is published on Amazon. To support the program but also to give understanding to women about what is going on with their bodies during all stages of menopause.  It’s a lighthearted easy read with practical helpful ways to cope, manage and empower women.

I hold qualifications in fitness and Exercise To Music instruction. I am  also qualified in Pilates instruction. I also teach activation band/ resistance band workouts, as well as body conditioning with weights and Legs Bums and Tums.

Looking forward to helping more women find their empowerment through their menopause and beyond …

Hi I’m Dr Carys Sonnenberg

I’m an NHS GP and have been a Dr for 26 years, and a GP with a special interest in Women’s Health for 20 years.

I am the lead for Women’s Health, Family Planning and Menopause at my practice, which I love.

I went through the menopause myself when I was 45, so I have an understanding of how difficult it can be and want to help women so they are really informed, which will help them access the best care they can for themselves. Only a few can afford private care, and all women should get a gold standard level of care.

I live in Surrey with my husband, two teenagers and our little dog.  I injured my knee, tearing my MCL, ACL and meniscus 3 months ago, leaving me sitting on the sofa and on crutches so this was the perfect time to finish protocols, symptom charts and complete the menopause courses I needed to do.

All of us believe and know that being active and doing regular movement and exercise is essential, especially during menopause. It helps to balance hormones releasing feel good endorphins, serotonin and dopamine and will lift your low mood.

It should always be fun and to your own fitness level. Ailsa works with clients starting back to fitness, as well as advanced clients wanting to push themselves to reach their goals. Which one are you ?

Taking the first step is usually the hardest and once you have found what you like then you can start making goals and challenges for yourself to help you progress and see the benefits.

It would be great if you allow us to help you get fit, feel good about yourself and learn what will work best for you in your later years.
